School Pictures through the Years

The other day Eden was digging through piles of old photos and found all the old school pictures.  We line up her pictures, from preschool through sixth grade:

Then we lined up Z's pictures to match each grade.  He only went to preschool part time and they did not take his picture, so we don't have one for that year, and unfortunately we could not find first grade!  I'm so sad about that.  And we didn't get one last year.  :-(  But, here's what we've got.  My favorite pair is second grade!

Hair-dos

In August Eden and I went to Kansas so she could go on the grandkid trip.  While we were there, Charis did Eden's hair several times, because Charis is amazing at doing Eden's hair!  One hair-do was one braid on top of a bigger braid, but it sort of morphed into a Viking warrior do, which was completed with full costume (including war paint).  A good time was had by all!

This is the finished hair-do as it was originally meant to be.

Easter 2022

Easter was a lovely day this year!  At church the kids did their annual Easter program.  Eden was a narrator this year.  After church we went to Lisa's for lunch and had a fun time with an egg tournament to see which was the best Easter egg of all!

The Witch of Critter Town

Eden has figured out how to make videos on my phone.  Here's one of her creations:

Jazz Band

Z had a Jazz Band concert which was super fun.  He and his fellow musicians were fantastic!

Newport Beach

We had a lovely little getaway to Newport Beach, CA in mid-January  We met the other Hitchcocks (Jeremy, Ann, Evie, Libby, Gideon, and Emmy) there for some fun, food, and beach!

The first morning we were there we had a tsunami warning because a volcano erupted in Tonga!  The water was cleared of most of the surfers, and we ended up seeing dolphins playin in the waves just off shore.  It was amazing!

Z is our water boy.  Has been from the very beginning.  I told him on this trip that it was kind of ironic, because the first time I gave him a bath I nearly drowned him.  It seems to have gotten the water into his blood.

We went on a whale watch but saw absolutely nothing.  Sadness.

Well, we did see a lot of smiling faces.  But no whales.

No visit to California is complete without eating at In 'N Out.

Our last night we saw a beautiful sunset on the beach.

Before we caught our plane we went to Laguna Beach, which was just lovely.
